Fat transfer, known as gluteal lipoinjection or BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift), is a procedure that complements the results of HD liposculpture.
Unlike classic liposculpture, HD liposculpture allows for abdominal marking, an option that depends on the patient’s preferences and the surgeon’s recommendation based on each case.
If there is considerable excess skin, an abdominoplasty is suggested. It’s essential to have a surgeon’s evaluation to determine the best option.
It is recommended to wear the compression garment continuously for at least 3 months to ensure proper compression, shaping, and reduction of swelling.
The incisions made by Dr. Felipe Amaya are extremely small and placed in strategic locations to ensure they are discreet and barely visible.
You should stop using homeopathic medications, garlic, onions, green tea, multivitamins, Omega-3, Ginkgo biloba, vitamin E, AlkaSeltzer®, and Aspirin® at least one to two weeks before surgery. If you need pain relief, we only recommend acetaminophen (Dolex® or Tylenol®).
With the prescribed medication, we will minimize discomfort. For this procedure, you’ll go home with a pain pump, a device that administers medication to make your recovery as pain-free as possible.
