We perform a dorsum reduction of the nose, which yields the best results. With a simple procedure, lasting about an hour, surprising changes can be achieved.
The goal is to refine, not alter, the ethnic traits, achieving greater definition in the tissues. However, the structure of some patients may limit the significant reduction of the nasal tip.
The thin skin of Asian patients makes it easier to shape and add volume to the nasal tip, allowing for more harmonious and personalized results that enhance its definition and shape.

Dr. Felipe Amaya does not operate on patients with previous interventions that have left aesthetic or functional sequelae, as these cases are complex due to internal scarring. It is recommended that these patients be treated by specialists in secondary rhinoplasty.
We use rasping to remove the bump, avoiding tools like hammers, chisels, or other technologies. This reduces trauma and guarantees a more controlled and predictable result.
Dr. Felipe Amaya addresses conventional obstructive problems like deviated septum and enlarged turbinates. For more complex functional cases, an otolaryngologist is involved.
Although the nose is very sensitive, the surgery is surprisingly minimally painful. Despite facial swelling in the first few days, pain is usually minimal. We use tranexamic acid to prevent bleeding, ensuring that our patients experience minimal bruising and swelling.
Although nasal packing is generally not required, in some surgeries, Merocell® nasal packs may be necessary. These packs are easily removed because they do not adhere to the nasal walls.
Implants are not recommended. Typically, we use the patient’s own nasal cartilage. In more complex cases, cartilage may be taken from the ear.
The change is immediately visible. Swelling decreases significantly during the first week and completely disappears after three months. During this time, avoid impact sports, sun exposure, and any trauma to the nose. Use sunscreen, an umbrella, and a hat to protect yourself.
