This surgery delivers stunning results. It consists of four main components: tightening the abdominal skin, suturing the abdominal muscles, liposculpture, and in many cases, fat transfer to the glutes and hips.

Our neoumbilicoplasty technique has revolutionized the way belly buttons are designed today. Created and perfected by Dr. Felipe Amaya, this technique focuses on achieving natural results, emphasizing the aesthetic importance of this feature in the harmony of the abdomen.

What is the purpose of each procedure in an Abdominoplasty?

Abdominoplasty tightens the skin, corrects sagging, and eliminates stretch marks and scars.

Muscle suturing creates a “corset” effect on the abdominal muscles, reducing the waistline and flattening the abdomen.

Liposculpture defines the waist, removes fat from the body, and prevents surgical disproportion.

Fat transfer to the glutes enhances the shape and projection of the glutes and hips in selected cases.

Frequently Asked Questions about this Surgery

When will I see the final results?

You will notice a change immediately, but the final result will be evident only after three months.

The incision for an abdominoplasty is typically placed in the lower abdomen. Its length may vary depending on how much skin is removed, but it is usually positioned so that it is hidden under underwear or swimwear. Over time, the scar may fade and become less noticeable.

You should stop using homeopathic medications, garlic, onion, green tea, multivitamins, Omega-3, Ginkgo biloba, vitamin E, Alka-Seltzer®, and aspirin at least one to two weeks before the surgery. If you need pain relief, we only recommend acetaminophen (Dolex® or Tylenol®).

You can resume exercising about a month after surgery. It’s important to follow your surgeon’s instructions and listen to your body. During the first month, intense physical activities should be avoided to allow for proper recovery and to avoid complications. After this period, you can gradually reintroduce exercise, always under medical supervision.

Yes, a drain will be placed after this procedure to prevent fluid buildup and facilitate recovery. The drain is usually kept for about 10 to 12 days, depending on your recovery process. The surgeon will instruct you on how to care for it and when it can be safely removed.

The compression garment should be worn 24 hours a day for the first month and a half after surgery to ensure proper compression and support in the treated area. After this period, you should wear it only at night or in the morning, depending on your surgeon’s instructions, for an additional three months. Consistent use of the garment helps prevent fluid buildup and improves the final shape of the body contour.

No, the procedure to modify the belly button is done 10 days after the main surgery. This allows the treated area to recover sufficiently before proceeding with the additional intervention. This step is carefully planned to ensure a natural, harmonious aesthetic result.

All stretch marks located in the area of skin that is removed will be eliminated. However, stretch marks located very high, above the belly button, may remain in a very low position, making them less visible.

We will manage any discomfort with the prescribed medication. You will leave the clinic with a pain pump, a device that administers a series of medications to make your recovery as pain-free as possible.

The stitches are self-absorbing

Patients traveling from abroad are recommended to arrive three days prior to the procedure for proper preparation.
